Actually I’d support that move — if you came up with several options. For me is ok to buy an app and to pay maintenance fee — for instance $5 a year. It’s like you buy a car and then each year visit mechanic to keep it in good condition. But now situation looks more like as if I’ve bought a car and after 3 years of driving my dealer comes up and says that now car is not mine. Now I am to pay each year almost the same price I’ve paid already to buy it — just to continue using it. If I were a new user I would treat subscription model differently — say ok guys there’s no option to buy a car but just to rent it. It’s your business. But I’ve bought it already. It’s Unfair to make me rent it. I think it would be better to propose another plan — with maintenance fee — to all who bought ulysses already
